Created using mixed mediums layered over each other to create depth and contrast, Blue Birds Winter instills a sense of relaxation with its softer colour palette and repetition of overlayed patterns. This piece evolved organically, my love of texture and circular shapes is reflected in the pattern of what could be birds or even flowers, hints of metallic in some sections highlighting the flow and different directions that nature gives us through her seasons. The colour play is intended to invite the viewer into to explore their own unique interpretations of this artwork.
